This year again, France will be present at India International Science Festival (IISF), which will be held in Chennai on 13-16 October 2017, on the campus of Anna University.
The India International Science Film Festival, which will take place on 14-16 October at IISF, will present 4 movies produced by French research institutes. These films highlight scientific breakthrough or interesting projects carried out by French scientists in various areas such as virtual reality technology, marine sciences, the effect of information technology on the humain brain, or the intestinal microbiota.
The movies presented this year are:
- Immerstar, virtual reality platform, produced by INRIA (French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation);
- Euro-Argo: towards a sustained European contribution to Argo, produced by IFREMER (French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea);
- Brain Overload, produced by Inserm (French National Institute of Health and Medical Research);
- Métagenopolis, produced by INRA (French National Institute of Agricultural Research).
The screening will take place on Saturday, 14 October 2017.
The French Institute in India is delighted to partner once again with Vigyan Prasar, govt. of India, to present these science films to the Indian general public, and hopes to play its part in strengthening the dialogue between Science and Society in India.
