A two-day symposium on “International Symposium on Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya: Control and Prevention: Expectations and Challenges” will take place on April 28-29, 2017, at AIIMS New Delhi.
It is co-organised by the AIIMS, New Delhi and the Fondation of Academy of Medicine (FAM)/National Academy of Medicine (ANM) from Paris, with the support of the University Paris Descartes, Sanofi and the French Embassy in India.
– To present the epidemiology of theses vectorial diseases and impact of climatic changes;
– To analyse the impact and clinical consequences of theses diseases;
– To analyse the control and prevention measures: vector control, vaccines, etc.

This symposium is under the umbrella of the MoU signed at the occasion of the 1st AIIMS/FAM-ANM forum on “Public health and Medical Innovation”, which took place at the AIIMS in Nov. 2015. In 2016, a 2nd Forum was organized in Paris and Toulouse, France, going a step further with the signature of a specific MoU between the AIIMS and FAM/ANM on Infectious diseases and another one between the AIIMS and the Institut Universitaire de Cancérologie de Toulouse (IUCT).
